Mrs. Bonita Sears
My name is Bonita Sears although I prefer Bonnie.  I began my journey in early childhood as an instructor at Polaris Adult Education Center for their Creative Play classes and Play Gym classes in the mid 90’s.  I enjoyed the children and their families and this motivated me to return to college to earn an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.  I am an active member of St. Paul Lutheran church in Berea and have served as their Sunday School Superintendent and Christian Education Director. Read more

Mrs. Julie Metzger
My name is Julie Metzger, I am the assistant teacher in the pre school classroom. I am a graduate of Concordia College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I taught 6, 7, and 8th grade sciences at Lakewood Lutheran School for five years. I was the Office Manager for the U.A.W./Ford Family Service and Learning Center in Middleburg Heights for two years. I took a break from teaching to spend time with my children.

I have been married for 9 years. Our son is 5 and just starting Kindergarten. I enjoy reading, photography, scrap booking, and spending as much time with my family as possible.

Home Visits
Grace Preschool will schedule a home visit with each family during August or prior to the child's first day in class. Home visits help the teacher learn about the child's interests and helps create a bond between the family and the teacher, providing a smoother transition into the classroom setting.

Parental Involvement
Parents are encouraged to become actively involved, including classroom party volunteers, assisting with special projects, sharing special talents or information on their careers, helping on workdays and participating on field trips.
